1837 online ~ Trace your family tree by searching our entire copy of Birth, Marriage and Deaths indexes for England and Wales from 1837 to 2002, as well as British nationals overseas from 1761 to 1994. Use the indexes to order the Birth, Marriage and Death certificates you need to piece together your family tree. This is a chargeable website.

Boxmoor Trust - The Trust is a registered charity which was founded in 1594 to administer the land and properties of the Boxmoor Estate for the benefit of the inhabitants of Hemel Hempstead and Bovingdon. The Trust offers a wide variety of information and education services whilst providing a range of events and activities for the whole community.

Dacorum Heritage Trust: ~ This is the NEW site for DHT and the Museum Store at Berkhamsted - visit regulalry to help keep their visitor numbers up. Now includes some interesting articles on local history including the excavations at Gadebridge Park.

Hemel Hempstead Local History & Museum Society - The NEW official website of this important local history society.  It is much larger, more comprehensive and very much more user-friendly with plenty of information about the Society, its meetings, library, competitions and projects.

Hertfordshire Genealogy:  ~ site run by Chris Reynolds of Tring is  excellent for some local history as  well as family history and is interactive. This should be one of the first ports of call for Family Historians in Hertfordshire.

Hertfordshire Archive & Local Studies (HALS): ~ HALS was previously known as the Hertfordshire Record Office.
